Huskers Finalize 2023 Wrestling Class

The Nebraska wrestling team finalized its 2023 recruiting class this week.

Tyler Antoniak - Omaha, Neb, (Arizona State/Millard South)
Tyler Antoniak is a two-time Nebraska state champion, four-time state placer, Fargo National champion and U15 World Champion. He will join former teammate and current Husker Antrell Taylor who were both a part of Millard South's first four-time Class A team champions.

Weston Dalton – Pueblo, Colo. (East)
Weston Dalton is a 2022 Colorado State champion and member of the CHSAA 4A All-State Wrestling Team. Dalton also placed third at the Cadet Fargo Nationals.

Ethan DeLeon – North Sioux City, Iowa (Bishop Heelan)
Ethan DeLeon was runner up at the 2022 Iowa State championships. A captain at Bishop Heelan, he is the single season school record holder (40 in 2019-2020 and 42 in 2020-2021). 

Cooper French – Flagstaff, Ariz. (Coconino)
The 2022 Arizona Daily Sun Wrestler of the Year, Cooper French is a two-time Arizona state champion and held a 53-2 record his junior season. A senior from Arizona, French is just the fourth back-to-back champion in Coconino High School history. 

Tanner Frothinger – Eagle, Idaho (Eagle)
Tanner Frothinger is a three-time Idaho state champion and 16U Greco-Roman National finalist. Frothinger also placed fifth at the 2022 UWW U17 World Team Trials.

Hampton Kaye-Kuter – Milford, Ma. (Milford)
A 2022 sectional, divisional, all-state and New England wrestling champion, Hampton Kaye-Kuter is the first Milford High School wrestler to win all these titles in the same year. Additionally, Kaye-Kuter is just the fourth New England champion in Milford's history. 

Alan Koehler – Prior Lake, Minn. (Prior Lake)
Alan Koehler is a two-time Minnesota State Champion and Fargo All-American in both Greco-Roman and freestyle. Koehler has a 77-2 high school record over the last two seasons at Prior Lake and is one of only three two-time champions in the school's history.  

Kael Lauridsen – Bennington, Neb. (Bennington)
Kael Lauridsen is a three-time Nebraska State champion and a two-time Greco-Roman National champion. This season, Lauridsen will try and become just the 36th four-time state champion in Nebraska wrestling history. According to Intermat, Lauridsen is ranked No. 2 in the nation at 113 pounds and is the No. 36 overall prospect in the 2023 class. 

Camden McDanel – Circleville, Ohio (Teays Valley)
Camden McDanel is a Cadet Fargo National Champion, Junior Fargo All-American and two-time Ohio State Wrestling finalist. McDanel is currently ranked No. 7 in the country at 195 pounds.

Matthew Moore – Colorado Springs, Colo. (Mesa Ridge)
Matthew Moore, a senior at Mesa Ridge High School in Colorado, is a 2021 Colorado state champion and runner up in both 2020 and 2022. 

Griffin Ray – Hillsboro, Mo. (Hillsboro)
Griffin Ray is a two-time Missouri state medalist. 

Ethan Stiles – Hoffman Estates, Ill. (Conant)
Ethan Stiles is a two-time Illinois state champion and is currently ranked No. 6 at 160 pounds by Flowrestling. 

Dominic Thebeau – Belleville, Ill. (Belleville East)
A third-place finisher at the 2022 Illinois state championships, Dominic Thebeau will join older brother Adam Thebeau on next year's team. Dominic is also the 2022 3A Granite City Sectional champion, the first from Belleville East since Adam won the title in 2020.
