The Nebraska cross country team makes its way to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the 2022 Big Ten Championships on Friday, Oct. 28 at the U-M Golf Course. The women's 6K race is set for a 9:45 a.m. (CT) start, followed by the men's 8K at 10:45 a.m.
Both races can be streamed live on B1G+ (subscription required). Live results will be available on PT Timing. The Nebraska women enter Friday's race ranked seventh in the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Poll.
Last Time Out
The Nebraska women placed seventh in a strong field that included three nationally-ranked teams at the Weis-Crockett Invite. Alea Hardie led the Huskers, covering the course in 21:16.2 to place 17th. Hannah Godwin and Brynna McQuillen also finished in the top-50 for the Big Red, with Godwin placing 41st (21:42.1) and McQuillen clocking a 21:43.0 to finish 46th. Taya Skelton was the next Husker to cross the finish line with a time of 22:04.1 to place 73rd. Deavion DeLeon rounded out the scoring for the Huskers with a 98th-place finish and time of 22:21.6.
The Husker men finished 23rd overall with 628 points. Bailey Timmons led the Nebraska men with a 74th-place run of 24:29.1. Following Timmons, Cal Puskar finished 145th with a time of 25:31.3, followed by Adam Christopher in 152nd with a run of 25:36.2. Colby Erdkamp had a run of 25:42 to cross the finish line in 159th, edging out Trevor Acton with a time of 25:44.6 in his 163rd-place finish.
