Lincoln, Neb. – In its final exhibition game of the year, the Nebraska soccer team defeated Tulsa 2-0 on Thursday night at Hibner Stadium in front of 700 fans.
The Husker offense was in control the first half, but the team was unable to find the back of the net until the second half. Junior Sami Hauk, played the first 70 minutes for the Big Red and collected two saves. Redshirt freshman Cece Villa came on for the final 20 minutes of the contest and preserved the shutout.
Overall, the Huskers outshot the Golden Hurricane by a very wide margin, 31-8. NU also held the 12-2 advantage in shots on goal.
