The Nebraska women's soccer team received a No. 6 seed for the 2021 Big Ten Women's Soccer Regional Weekend and will meet No. 3 seed Minnesota on Thursday, April 8 in the first round of the Big Ten West Regional weekend. The team will travel to Champaign, Ill., to face the Golden Gophers. Game time has not been announced.
The 2021 Big Ten Regional Weekend and Tournament divisional alignment mirrors that used during football season and is used only for the initial seeding purposes during the regional weekend. The Big Ten Tournament semifinals will be re-seeded based on those semifinalists' regular-season conference finish.
Nebraska closed the regular season with a 1-0 win over Iowa on Saturday afternoon in Lincoln to improve to 2-5-3 on the year. Freshman Gwen Lane recorded her first goal in a Husker kit to lead the team to the regular season finale win.
The winner of Thursday's match will face the winner of the first round game between No. 7 seed Iowa and No. 2 seed llinois on Sunday, April 11.
