Six Huskers Named to Academic All-Big Ten

Chicago, Ill. -- Six Husker gymnasts have earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, as announced by the conference on Wednesday.

The list features seniors Anika Dujakovich and Megan Verceles Carr, junior Kynsee Roby and sophomores Clara Colombo, Kylie Piringer and Kathryn Thaler. Dujakovich and Roby earn their third Academic All-Big Ten honors, while Verceles Carr picks up her second.

Dujakovich, Verceles Carr and Roby's honors showcase their continued success in the classroom. All three upperclassmen also were named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans in 2020 and have received multiple honors for their academic achievements. Colombo and Piringer also added Academic All-Big Ten honors to accompany their WCGA Scholastic All-American achievement from 2020.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of March 1 for winter sports, who have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

The Huskers head to Minneapolis, Minn. to take part in the Big Ten Championships on Saturday, March 20. NU will take the floor for the 12 p.m. session, which will be broadcast on BTN.
