LINCOLN -- The Nebraska men's tennis team bolstered its ranks on Wednesday when Head Coach Sean Maymi announced the signing of Germany's Nic Wiedenhorn.
"Nic has a ton of international experience and will bring a lot to our team," said Maymi. "I am super excited to work with Nic and continue to improve his game. He will be a big part of our team over the next 4 years."
A talented competitor who represented his home country's under-16 team at the European Cup, Wiedenhorn was an under-16 German champion and has been a top five-ranked player in Germany since the age of 12.
Wiedenhorn comes to Nebraska from the southwestern German city of Stuttgart and joins Virginia Tech transfer Brandon Perez as new additions to the team ahead of the 2020-21 season.
