The Nebraska beach volleyball team won its seventh match in a row with a 5-0 sweep of Ottawa (Kan.) on Friday at the Hawks Championship Center.
The Huskers swept all five matches on the day and are now 8-1 on the season.
Megan Miller and Callie Scwharzenbach started the day with a dominant 21-9, 21-10 win as the No. 5 pair. Nicklin Hames and Lauren Stivrins followed with an even more emphatic victory at No. 1, 21-3, 21-5. Kenzie Knuckles and Jazz Sweet clinched the match with a 21-9, 21-10 win, and Hayley Densberger and Anezka Szabo added the fourth point with a 21-8, 21-8 win. Madi Kubik and Mari Kurkova finished off the sweep with a 21-7, 21-16 victory.
The two teams will play again on Saturday at 10 a.m.
