The Nebraska beach volleyball team ended the 2019 season with a pair of losses in Long Beach, California on Saturday at the Belmont Shore Challenge.
The Huskers fell to No. 14 Stanford, 5-0, and Washington, 4-1. Nebraska finished the season with a 12-12 record.
Nicklin Hames and Lauren Stivrins picked up the only team point of the day for the Huskers with their 21-18, 21-19 win at No. 1 over Washington's Destiny Julye and Kristen Gengenbacher. Two other Husker pairs - Madi Kubik/Mari Kurkova and Hayley Densberger/Anezka Szabo - won the first sets of their matches but then fell in three.
Against Stanford, Kubik/Kurkova and Hames/Stivrins also went three sets in their matches before falling to the 14th-ranked Cardinal.
The Huskers will return home and begin preparations for the April 20 spring match against Colorado State in McCook.
