The Nebraska soccer team (8-6-4, 4-3-3 Big Ten) finishes its regular-season schedule on Wednesday when the Huskers host Michigan State (5-9-3, 0-8-2 Big Ten) at Hibner Stadium, starting at noon (CT).
The matchup between the Huskers and Spartans was rescheduled for this week after snowy weather conditions postponed the originally scheduled Oct. 14 match. Fans who had tickets to that game had the option of using the tickets for general admission to Sunday’s match against Illinois or using them for Wednesday. Additional tickets can be purchased at Huskers.com/tickets or by calling 800-8-BIGRED.

Last Time Out
The Huskers lost both of their games last week by a one-goal margin. NU fell to 19th-ranked Wisconsin on Thursday in Madison, Wis., 1-0. On Sunday, Nebraska lost to Illinois during Senior Day at Hibner Stadium, 2-1.
Next Up
The eight-team Big Ten Tournament begins on Sunday, Oct. 28 with the quarterfinals on the campus sites of the top four seeds in the final conference standings. The top four teams are Penn State (27 points), Rutgers (24), Ohio State (21) and Wisconsin (21). The Buckeyes earned the No. 3 seed by defeating the Badgers over the weekend.
The Big Ten Semifinals (Friday, Nov. 2) and Big Ten Final (Sunday, Nov. 4) will be played at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. The bracket for the Big Ten Tournament will be released following the result of Nebraska’s game against Michigan State on Wednesday.

Carter, Uveges Leading Husker Offense
- Seniors Faith Carter and Savanah Uveges are among the leaders on the team and in the Big Ten in offensive production this season.
- Carter leads the Huskers with nine goals, which ranks third in the Big Ten behind Minnesota’s April Bockin (10) and Rutgers’ Amirah Ali (10). Carter’s team-high 19 points rank tied for fifth in the conference.
- In the last 12 games, Carter has scored eight goals.
- Uveges has 18 points, which ranks second on the team and ninth in the Big Ten. She has seven goals, which ranks second on the team and tied for eighth in the conference.
- Uveges has scored at least one point in 10 of Nebraska’s 18 games this season.
Scouting the Michigan State Spartans
- Michigan State is 5-9-3 this season with a 0-8-2 record in Big Ten play. The Spartans enter Wednesday on a seven-match losing streak, and an 11-match winless streak that dates back to Sept. 9. MSU hasn’t scored a goal in four consecutive games.
- The all-time series between Nebraska and Michigan State is tied at 3-3-1, dating back to the first meeting between the schools in 2011. Last season, NU won by a 3-0 margin on the road.

Hibner Draws a Crowd
- The Huskers are in their fourth season playing at Barbara Hibner Stadium in 2018 after averaging more than 1,000 fans per game during each of their first three years at the venue.
- Through nine home games this season, Nebraska has welcomed an average of 1,069 fans per home contest, which ranks 21st in the nation and second in the Big Ten (as of Oct. 22).
- In 2017, Nebraska averaged 1,064 fans per home contest to rank 21st nationally and second in the Big Ten. The total attendance during the season was 9,579.
- In 2016, NU averaged 1,182 fans per home game, which ranked 18th in the nation and second in the conference. The total attendance was 13,002, the second-highest season total in program history.
