Q&A with Vasanti Shinde

A senior from Pune, India, Vasanti Shinde has a double major in economics and marketing. She has been especially outstanding in doubles play, accumulating a 49-12 career record. Shinde also went 12-7 in singles last spring on her way to being named a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship team. A three-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll, returns for her final season in scarlet and creme determined to have her best year yet.

Shinde took the time recently to talk about what she likes to do off the court.

Favorite TV show now or as a child: Scandal, the Blacklist, friends and The office.

Favorite pro team: the Indian cricket team.  

Favorite sports movie: Bend it like Beckham

Favorite meal:  Any kind of Indian food. I’m all about flavor.
