The Nebraska baseball team hosts Nevada as part of Tropical Weekend at Hawks Field.
The series begins on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. (CT) on NET and will be streamed on BTN2Go. The first 1,000 fans into the game will receive a free flower lei. The first 500 students with a valid N Card will receive Nebraska flip flops and enter a raffle for an Apple Watch located at the third base berm.
Friday’s game is set for 6:35 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Shane Komine bobblehead, as the former Husker great will throw out the first pitch. Pregame entertainment also includes the Nebraska Steel drum band on the right field concourse.
Saturday’s game begins at 12:05 p.m. Komine will sign autographs on the left field concourse from 11 a.m. to noon. The first 500 fans into the game will receive fans that attach to cell phones.

Fans can listen to Greg Sharpe, Nick Handley and Ben McLaughlin call the action throughout the season on the Husker Sports Network. Every game this season can be heard on Huskers.com and the Official Nebraska Huskers App for both iOS and android devices.
All three games will be carried on TuneIn.com and the TuneIn App on the Husker IMG Sports Network channel. Fans in Lincoln can listen on 1400 AM and fans in Omaha can listen on 590 AM.
Thursday’s game will be televised on the NET with Kevin Kugler and Jeff Leise calling the action. Streaming is also available on BTN2Go.
The final two games of the series will be streamed live online on BTN Plus. Subscriptions for BTN Plus are available on a monthly or annual basis. A school pass subscription is $79.95 for one year and $9.95 for one month. A conference pass subscription is $119.95 for one year and $14.95 for one month.

The Huskers resume Big Ten competition next weekend at Hawks Field, as Maryland visits Lincoln for a three-game series. The games are set for Friday, May 4 at 6:35 p.m. (CT), Saturday, May 5 at 2:05 p.m., and Sunday, May 6 at 1:05 p.m.
Quick Notes
- Scott Schreiber is one of 10 baseball finalists for the 2018 Senior CLASS Award, which recognizes student-athletes who excel both on and off the diamond. Finalists were chosen by national media from the list of 30 candidates announced on March 21. Fans are encouraged to vote on the Senior CLASS Award website through May 28. Fan votes will be combined with media and Division I head coaches’ votes to determine the winner. This year’s Senior CLASS Award winner will be announced during the 2018 College World Series in June.
- Schreiber and Jesse Wilkening each rank in the top five in RBIs in the Big Ten. Wilkening ranks tied for third with 43 RBIs, four shy of the league lead. Schreiber ranks fifth in the conference with 38 RBIs. No other team in the Big Ten has multiple players in the top five in runs batted in.
Scouting the Nevada Wolf Pack
- The series between Nebraska and Nevada is tied 2-2, dating back to the first meeting in 1986. All four meetings were played at a neutral site. The two teams last met in 1994.
- Nevada is 21-16 this season with a 14-6 record in the Mountain West. The Wolf Pack enter the weekend on a three-game losing streak after falling to Saint Mary’s on Tuesday. Last weekend, Nevada dropped a Sunday doubleheader at Air Force.
- Head Coach T.J. Bruce is 77-76 in his third season at Nevada. He is assisted by Steve Bennett and Jake Silverman.
