The Nebraska baseball team (12-9) returns home to open Big Ten play this weekend against Minnesota (14-8) at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park. Friday’s series opener is set for 4:05 p.m. (CT), while Saturday is set for 2:05 p.m., and Sunday’s televised finale will begin at 2 p.m.
Prior to all three games, fans can take a selfie with the Big Ten trophy on the left field concourse until first pitch. It is also Youth Jersey Weekend, where kids eighth grade and under will get one free general admission ticket if they are wearing a baseball jersey. The first 750 fans into Friday’s game will receive a 2017 Big Ten champion T-shirt.
How to Listen/Watch the Huskers
Fans can listen to Greg Sharpe and Ben McLaughlin call the action on the Husker Sports Network. Every game this season can be heard on Huskers.com and the Official Nebraska Huskers App for both iOS and android devices.
All three games will be carried on TuneIn.com and the TuneIn App on the Husker IMG Sports Network channel. Fans in Lincoln can listen on 1400 AM and fans in Omaha can listen on 590 AM.
The first two games will be streamed live online on BTN Plus. Subscriptions for BTN Plus are available on a monthly or annual basis. A school pass subscription is $79.95 for one year and $9.95 for one month. A conference pass subscription is $119.95 for one year and $14.95 for one month.
Sunday’s series finale will be televised on the Big Ten Network, with Mike Monaco and Danan Hughes calling the action from Hawks Field.
Last Time Out
The Huskers earned a 1-1 road split against Oral Roberts earlier this week. After dropping Tuesday’s opener, 11-4, the Huskers took down the Golden Eagles in Wednesday’s finale, 11-10.
Next Up
The Huskers face intrastate rival Creighton on Tuesday at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb., starting at 6:30 p.m. (CT).

- Scott Schreiber was named one of 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award on Wednesday. The 30 candidates will be narrowed to 10 finalists in late April, and the winner will be announced at the College World Series in June.

Scouting the Minnesota Golden Gophers
- Nebraska leads the all-time series against Minnesota, 27-25-1, dating back to the first meeting between the schools in 1901. The series is tied 8-8 in Lincoln. Since NU joined the Big Ten in 2012, the Huskers are 14-3 against the Golden Gophers.
- Minnesota is 14-8 this season after winning two of three at TCU last weekend. After dropping the season opener to Georgia Tech, the Golden Gophers won seven of their next eight to finish February with a 7-2 record. At the Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge, Minnesota defeated Arizona in the opener before losing the next two. The Gophers have also defeated Omaha, UW-Milwaukee, Creighton and George Washington.
- Head Coach John Anderson is in his 37th year at Minnesota and holds a 1,258-853-3 record at the school. He is assisted by Rob Fornasiere, Patrick Casey and Ty McDevitt.
