Several former Huskers had impressive weeks for their respective NFL teams in Week 16 of the 2017 season.
On the defensive side, Tampa Bay linebacker Lavonte David had a game-high 11 tackles. Prince Amukamara started at cornerback for the Chicago Bears, recording two tackles and recovering one fumble. Maliek Collins started at tackle for the Dallas Cowboys and recorded three tackles and one quarterback hurry. Zaire Anderson played at linebacker and on special teams for the Denver Broncos. Ndamukong Suh started at tackle and had one quarterback hurry.
On the other side of the ball, Niles Paul (Washington Redskins) started at tight end. Paul also played on special teams and had two kickoff returns for 29 yards. Ameer Abdullah had six carries for 21 yards for the Detroit Lions. He also had one catch for five yards. On special teams, Abdullah had five kickoff returns for 114 yards, including a long of 29 yards. Richie Incognito started at left guard and played every offensive snap for the Buffalo Bills. Brent Qvale played at tackle for the New York Jets, while Jeremiah Sirles played at guard for the Minnesota Vikings. Andy Janovich had two catches for 21 yards for the Broncos.
Nathan Gerry played on special teams for the Philadelphia Eagles, helping his team beat the Oakland Raiders 19-10 and clinch the No. 1 seed for the NFC playoffs. Zach Sterup played on special teams for the Dolphins. Cethan Carter played on special teams for the Cincinnati Bengals and had one tackle.
