Nebraska will make its regular-season home debut against its old Big 12 foe Iowa State. The Huskers enter the dual with a 1-0 record after rolling to a 154-86 victory over Northern Iowa last Friday in Cedar Falls.
It also will be the season opener for the Cyclones, who held their intrasquad dual on Oct. 13. The Cyclones are led by senior team captains Danica Delaquis, Laura Miksch and Sydney Ronald. Delaquis and Miksch both racked up top-five finishes at the 2017 Big 12 Championships. Ronald is returning from a redshirt season.
Nebraska holds a 35-4-1 all-time series lead over Iowa State. The last dual-meet between the two programs came a little over a year ago, when Nebraska defeated Iowa State 195.5-101.5 in Ames, Iowa.
Senior captain Jordan Ehly dominated the 2016-17 dual by claiming two victories in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke. Dana Posthuma added a sweep of her own in the 100 and 200 butterfly events. Junior captain Kaylyn Flatt provided the Big Red with another big sweep in the distance freestyle events, including the 500 and 1,000-yard free.
The Huskers do not compete next weekend, but return to road dual action for a pair of duals Nov. 3 (Arkansas) and Nov. 4 (Kansas).
