Husker Men Take Third at Bradley Classic

Peoria, ILL. --The Nebraska cross country team completed its final regular-season invitational at the Bradley Classic on the Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Illinois.

The Husker men placed third overall with 131 points. The men’s team was led by junior Wyatt McGuire in fourth place with a time of 24:36.3. Senior Austin Post followed close after in sixth place at 24:45.1 and senior Peter Spinks finished 33rd with a time of 25:28.1.

The Husker women finished 15th overall with 403 points. The women’s team was led by senior Bonnie Smith in eighth place with a time of 21:18.9. Freshman Erika Freyhof finished 68th with a time of 22:17.3 and senior Katrina Santiago finished 85th with a time of 22:29.0.

The Huskers will be training for the next two weeks in preparation for the Big Ten Championships in Bloomington, Ind. The meet is set for Oct. 29 at 10:45 a.m. on the IU Championship Cross Country Course.
