Six Huskers Earn Big Ten Distinguished Scholar

Six members of the 2016 Nebraska men’s gymnastics team were recognized for their academic success during the 2015-16 school year. Joshua Everitt, Ryan Irick, Ethan Lottman, Alex Magsam, Sanjaya Roy and Chris Stephenson were named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars in 2016.

Irick and Lottman, who both graduated in May 2016, have received the award each year they were eligible for it.  Irick, a four-time recipient, majored in nutrition science, while Lottman, a three-time honoree, earned his degree in art.

Stephenson, Everitt, Magsam and Roy earned the award for the first time in the careers. The quartet will return to the team in 2017 and will help lead the Huskers both in the gym and in the classroom.
