Huskers Shut Out Bulldogs

Lincoln- The Nebraska women's tennis team rolled to a 4-0 sweep of Drake at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center on Saturday to complete a perfect 2-0 weekend and improve to 11-1 on the season.

Senior Maggy Lehmicke and freshman Sydney Harlow each picked up a pair of victories for the Huskers, who swept to the quick victory which was stopped at 4-0 so the Bulldogs could take on South Dakota. Drake slipped to 5-6 on the season.

Lehmicke and Lisa Andersson made quick work of their No. 1 doubles match, defeating Mariel Ante and Tess Herder, 6-0. Harlow and Katerina Matysova secured the doubles point for the Big Red with a 7-5 victory over Drake's Summer Brills and Mela Jaglarz.

Harlow rolled to her second win of the day with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Jaglarz at No. 6 singles. Lehmicke stormed past Brills, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, before Vasanti Shinde swept Herder 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 4 spot to give the Big Red the team win.

Nebraska completes its 13-match season-opening home stand when the Huskers open Big Ten play against the Iowa Hawkeyes at the Dillon Tennis Center on Wednesday, March 2 at 3 p.m..
