Lincoln, Neb. --- The Nebraska rifle team ranks No. 9 on this week’s Top 20 Poll. The Huskers are coming off an impressive weekend where the team finished 2-0. NU defeated NC State on Oct. 31 by a score of 4,666-4,636. On Nov. 1, Nebraska conquered Army by a score of 4,663-4,616 and Hannah Virga set the program record for the highest air rifle score by a freshman (597).
In two weeks, the Huskers welcome fifth-ranked Kentucky to the NU Rifle Range for the first home match of the season. The match is set to begin at 8 a.m.
At that match, the team will host a free brunch for fans beginning at 10 a.m. The brunch will be served in the lower level of the Military and Naval Science Building, right outside of the NU Rifle Range. Fans are encouraged to stay and watch the Huskers take on Kentucky.
