FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Nebraska track and field team concluded the Tyson Invitational on Saturday at the Randal Tyson Track.

The men's 4x400-relay team capped the meet on a strong note for the Huskers, running a season-best 3:06.02 to take second place in the meet. Jacob Bender, Levi Gipson, Drew Wiseman and Cody Rush teamed up for not only a PR, but the second-best time in Husker history and the top time in the Big Ten this season. They now rank No. 4 in the nation. The 4x400 team joins Nikita Pankins (long jump on Friday) as Huskers who posted top B1G marks at the Tyson Invitational.

Ellie Ewere also set a new personal best in the triple jump at 42-6 to take second in her section of the event. Ewere's mark puts her second in the Big Ten, and she remains 10th in school history in the event. Mollie Gribbin also set a PR in the event at 41-1 3/4. That puts her fifth in the Big Ten.

One week after clearing a Big Ten-best 17-11 in the pole vault, Steven Cahoy was solid again on Saturday, going over 17-8 1/2 and finishing fourth in the event.

Marusa Cernjul finished sixth in the high jump, clearing 5-11 1/2. On the men's side, James White topped out at 7-1 to finish in ninth place. Landon Bartel cleared 6-11.

Will Lohman recorded a 59-11 in the shot put to finish second in his section of the event. Carlie Pinkelman was seventh in the women's shot put invitational, throwing 51-8 1/4.  Devandrew Johnson jumped a season-best 50-1 1/4 in the triple jump, the best mark by a Husker in the event this season and No. 6 in the Big Ten.

Brittany Johnson set a PR of 24.32 in the 200 meters to crack the top 20 in the Big Ten.

The Huskers will now turn their focus to the Nebraska Tune-Up on Friday at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Indoor Track, as they go through one more meet before the Big Ten Indoor Championships Feb. 27-28 in Geneva, Ohio.
