Huskers Ranked No. 8

The Nebraska rifle team ranks No. 8 on this week’s CRCA Top 20 List.

The Huskers moved up one spot since last week, after defeating Murray State and Ole Miss at the NU Rifle Range this past weekend.

On Oct. 10, NU came from behind to defeat Murray State.  Rachel Martin and Kelsey Hansen both tallied scores over 590 in air rifle, while Lauren Phillips ended with a 578 in smallbore.  In addition, Marissa Major fired a career-best smallbore score of 575.

Two days later, the Huskers beat Ole Miss by a score of 4,653-4,576.  Jaycee Carter led Nebraska in air rifle and Denise Martin led the team in smallbore.

Nebraska travels to South Carolina this weekend to take on NC State on Oct. 18 and Army on Oct. 19.
