Lincoln, Neb.- Ashley Miller led a contigent of Huskers who competed in mulitple meets last weekend.
A three-time All-American, Miller ran in the women's 1,500 meters at the American Milers Club Series in Indianapolis, Ind., finshing second with an Olympic Trials A Standard Qualifier time of 4:12.69. Her time was also a personal-best mark. Jessica Furlan also ran at the America Milers Club Series and recorded a personal-best time of 10:03.70 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
Tibor Koroknai finished first in the 400 meter hurdles at the Hungarian National Championships, notching a time of 51.60 for the gold medal.
In a throws competition held in Lincoln, Chad Wright improved his personal best with a mark of 206-3 (62.88).
In addition, jumpers Chris Phipps and Bobby Carter took the to the runway in Liberty, Mo. Phipps finished first in the long jump with a mark of 24-11 1/4 (7.60), while Carter came in second with a leap of 24-5 3/4 (7.46).
