Huskers Return to Oklahoma for OU Invite

After a successful week at the ITA All-American Tournament in Tulsa, Okla., the Nebraska men's tennis team will return to Okla., this weekend to participate in the OU Invitational in Norman. The Invitational begins on Friday, Oct. 14 and runs until Sunday Oct. 16.  

The Huskers will have four players participating in the singles tournament including the top seed in the tournament, Christopher Aumueller. Nebraska also has the No. 5 seed participating in the tournament in Benedikt Lindheim. The other two Huskers competing are Tom Blackwell and Eric Sock. Aumueller, Lindheim and Blackwell all received first round byes. Sock will face Oklahoma State's Eric West. 

The action begins Friday morning at 9 a.m. with the first and second rounds of the singles tournament. Following singles play, the first round of the doubles tournament will be played.  

The Huskers have two doubles teams competing this weekend. The duo of Aumueller and Lindheim received a first round bye while the team of Sock and Blackwell will play in the first round Friday afternoon against Tulsa's duo of Tristan Jackson and Ashley Watling.
