Lincoln - The Nebraska women's gymnastics team is ranked 10th this week in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday. The poll, which is calculated by regional qualifying score, also ranks NU second in the South Central region and in the Big 12 Conference. In addition, the Huskers are ranked third nationally in team vault scoring (49.385), sixth on bars (49.25), 21st on beam (48.775) and are seventh on floor (49.205).
Individually, senior Erin Davis is ranked first on vault, with an RQS of 9.935. Davis earned the Big 12 vault title last Saturday at Missouri. This is the fourth-straight week she has held the No. 1 spot on the event. Junior Lora Evenstad is tied for 20th on vault (9.885) and fifth on floor (9.90), while freshman Jamie Schleppenbach is tied for No. 23 in the vault rankings (9.88). Senior Maria Scaffidi is tied for No. 22 on bars (9.87) after claiming the bars crown at the Big 12 Championships.
The Huskers will continue postseason play at regionals on April 2. The NCAA will announce regional fields this afternoon.
