Lincoln - The Nebraska women's gymnastics team is ranked 10th this week in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday. The poll, which is calculated by regional qualifying score, also ranks NU second in the South Central region and in the Big 12 Conference. In addition, the Huskers are ranked second nationally in team vault scoring (49.35), 10th on bars (49.14), 22nd on beam (48.655) and are tied for eighth on floor (49.08).
Individually, senior Erin Davis is ranked first on vault, with an RQS of 9.935. Davis posted a perfect 10.0 on the event against Arizona State and has earned six vault crowns on the season. This is the second-straight week she has held the No. 1 spot on vault. Junior Lora Evenstad is tied for 18th on vault (9.875) and is ranked fourth on floor (9.89), while freshman Jamie Schleppenbach is tied for No. 21 in the vault rankings (9.87). Sophomore Janelle Giblin is tied for 22nd on bars (9.86).
The Huskers host Iowa State on Sunday, March 13 at 2 p.m. NU will honor seniors Erin Davis, Brittnee Habbib, Maria Scaffidi and Maddie Steinauer in their final home meet of the season.
