Lincoln - The Nebraska women's gymnastics team is ranked 10th this week in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday. The poll, which is calculated by regional qualifying score, also ranks NU second in the South Central region and in the Big 12 Conference. In addition, the Huskers are ranked second nationally in team vault scoring (49.325), ninth on bars (49.055), 25th on beam (48.572) and are ninth on floor (49.005).
Individually, senior Erin Davis is ranked first on vault, with an RQS of 9.93. Davis posted a 9.95 on the event at the Masters Classic and has earned five vault crowns on the season. She is the first Nebraska gymnast to be ranked No. 1 in the vault since Emily Parsons, who competed for NU from 2005 to 2008. Junior Lora Evenstad is ranked fourth on floor (9.89), while freshman Jamie Schleppenbach is tied for No. 19 in the vault rankings (9.865). Sophomore Janelle Giblin is tied for 16th on bars (9.86).
The Huskers host Arizona State on Sunday, March 6 in a dual meet with the Nebraska men's gymnastics team, who take on Stanford. Competition is set to begin at 2 p.m.
