Palm Desert, Calif. - The Nebraska men's golf team travels to California for their second tournament of the spring season on Saturday and Sunday to compete in the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
The Classic Club, a par-72, 7,322-yard layout, will play host to 20 teams, including Big 12 foes Kansas and Texas A&M. Both days will begin with a 9:45 a.m. (Central Time) shotgun start. The field will play 36 holes on Saturday and conclude the final 18 holes on Sunday.
The Huskers will play the same lineup as they did at the Rice Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday. However, senior Andrew Wyatt has earned the No. 1 spot in the lineup in California, following his tie for 23rd finish in Houston.
Neil Dufford, who also tied for 23rd at the Rice Intercollegiate, will represent the No. 2 spot for the Huskers. This start marks his fourth of the season for Nebraska with one individual start on top of that. The tie for 23rd result was Dufford's best of the season.
The No. 3 spot belongs to Scott Willman, who produced a tie for 41st finish in Houston. The junior has started in all seven tournaments for the Huskers this season.
Stratford, Ontario, native Brett Nymeyer makes his seventh start of the 2010-11 campaign, taking on the role of the No. 4 position. The senior shot three consecutive rounds of 74 in Houston.
Senior Mike Coatman rounds out the Husker lineup, representing the No. 5 spot. He tied for 55th at the Rice Intercollegiate.
