“I thought our guys rose to the occasion,” said Nebraska head coach Kerry McDermott. “We didn’t have a let down, and that’s good to see.”

On court No. 1, Aumueller was defeated, 7-5, 6-1, 10-8, by Binghamton’s Sven Vloedgraven. On court No. 2, Nebraska’s Calin Paar downed the Bearcats’ Alexandre Haggai 6-2, 6-2.
