24 Huskers that Earn Spots on Big 12 Honor Roll

Lincoln-24 members of the Nebraska Men's and Women's Cross Country teams earned spots on the 2010 Big 12 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll announced on Friday Feb. 4. More than 2,000 student-athletes have been named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the Conference's 15-year tenure. The Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who recorded a 3.00 or better GPA.

Juniors Katie White and Jesse Adams led the way for the Huskers, as both earned perfect 4.0 GPAs last semester. This was the fifth nomination in five semesters at Nebraska, for both White and Adams.

Freshman Martina Barinova and sophomore Brett Grieb also earned perfect 4.0 GPAs last semester. This is Grieb's third nomination in three semesters at Nebraska and Barinova's first in her first semester as a Husker.

Five seniors were honored on the list as each of them has earned honors at least five times. Along with the experienced Huskers, freshmen Alex Adams, Jarren Heng, Anthony Pittman, Parker Schoen, Isabel Andrade, Samantha Morabe and Sarah Plambeck claimed their first spots on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Overall, Nebraska had 358 student-athletes across 23 varsity sports recognized by the Big 12 for the fall semester, including 43 student-athletes with perfect 4.0 grade-point averages.
