Alex Adams will transition to collegiate running after a prep career at York High School in York, Neb... qualified for the state meet as a sophomore and junior... earned his only state medal in 2009 with a sixth-place showing in the 3,200 meters, while also running the 1,600 meters... was a four-year qualifier in Class B for the Nebraska state cross country meet... placed 68th as a freshman in 2006... cut over a minute off time the following year to finish 32nd... continued to shoot up the charts as a junior with a ninth-place time of 16:58.4... capped his career by taking runner-up honors to Husker teammate Connor Gibson with a state-best time of 16:42.9, which led the Dukes to a second-place team finish.
