Reno, Nevada - The Nebraska swimming and diving team won eight of 16 events on its way to a 166-134 victory over at Nevada on Saturday.
Nebraska won five of the first seven events before the first diving break. Notching wins for the Huskers were Bailey Pons, Ellan Dufour, Kelsey Larson and Ariel Weech. Nebraska's 200-yard medley relay team captured the first win of the day.
Including the three-meter diving event, the Wolfpack went on to win three straight events before Kelsey Larson and Kristin Strecker took first and second place in the 200-yard breaststroke to bring the momentum back to Nebraska.
The Huskers won two of the final five events with Shannon Guy taking first in the women's 100-yard butterfly and the 400-yard medley relay team consisting of Hayley Martin, Ariel Weech, Lexie Halberstadt and Kelsey Grushecky closing the day with a win to give NU its first team win of the season.
The Huskers return to action this Friday by playing host to North Dakota and Wyoming at the Devaney Natatorium on Friday, Nov. 12 at 5 p.m.
