Helu Jr. Earns National Honor

New Haven, Conn. - For the second straight week, a Nebraska football player has been selected the Walter Camp Football Foundation FBS National Offensive Player of the Week, as Roy Helu Jr. received the honor on Sunday.

Helu Jr, set a single-game school record with 307 rushing yards in Nebraska's 31-17 victory over No. 7 Missouri. The senior I-back broke the school record of 294 set by Calvin Jones in 1991 and scored on touchdown runs on 66, 73 and 53 yards. His rushing total is the most by anyone in the FBS this season and helped Nebraska to its first win over a top-10 team since 2001.

He is the second Husker to earn the award this season, joining Taylor Martinez, who captured the honor against Oklahoma State.
