Kansas City, Mo. – After two weeks off, the Nebraska men’s golf team travels to Kansas City for the UMKC Bill Ross Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday at Blue Hills Country Club. The 7,351-yard, par 72 layout will play host to 14 teams, including the Huskers, for the two-day 54-hole event.
Nebraska’s last time out, at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate, the Huskers posted a third place finish in a field of 18 teams. This continued their streak of three consecutive tournaments with top-3 team results.
The NU lineup for this week will feature a new player at the No. 1 spot. Senior Andrew Wyatt will be leading the Huskers for the first time this season, with Neil Dufford, Mike Coatman, Scott Willman and Brett Nymeyer also earning spots. Lincoln native Brett Sundberg will be playing as an individual.
This week’s field includes inner state rival Creighton, Big 12 foe Kansas as well as Bradley, Central Arkansas, Drake, UMKC, Missouri State, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Oral Roberts, South Dakota and South Dakota State.
The UMKC Bill Ross Intercollegiate will tee off with shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. on both days.
