Willman, Huskers Take Lead After Day One at Kansas Invitational

Lawrence, Kan. - The Nebraska Men's Golf Team got off to a good start at the Kansas Invitational on Monday, shooting a 36-hole total of 578 at Alvamar Public Golf Course. They have a three-shot lead over Oklahoma City in the 15-team tournament with 18 holes to play.

Junior Scott Willman leads the tournament individually by one shot, thanks to his second round 68. Also in the mix is Mike Coatman, coming off his victory at the Fairway Club Invitational last week, who shot a 143 total after two rounds. He is currently tied for fifth with fellow Husker Andrew Wyatt, who followed up his first round 74 with a three-under 69 in the second round.

Jordan Reinertson added a pair of 76s to the NU total and Brett Nymeyer shot a two-round total of 157.

The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with the final 18 holes teeing off at 8:30 a.m.
