Trinity, Texas - The Nebraska men's golf team finished the day where it began - in eighth place - after the third round of the Big 12 Championship at Whispering Pines Golf Club on Saturday. The Huskers scored a 304 and are at 889 (+25) for the tournament.
Oklahoma State leads the field with an 851 (-13). Texas is on the Cowboys' heels at 853, while Texas Tech (855) and Texas A&M (857) are also within striking distance.
Andrew Wyatt continues to lead the Huskers in a tie for 16th. Wyatt recorded a 76 on Saturday for a 218 (+2) total. Brandon Crick is one shot back at 219 (+3) and is tied for 19th. Crick scored a 75 in the third round, which matched Scott Willman for the team best. Willman's 75 put him at 230 and in a tie for 44th.
Mike Coatman is also tied for 44th after a 78 left him at 230 heading into the final round. Brett Nymeyer carded an 84 and is at 233 and tied for 54th.
Texas Tech's
Chris Ward extended his lead to two strokes, thanks to a third round 71. Ward is at 205 (-11), two strokes ahead of Texas's Bobby Hudson (-9). Texas A&M's Andrea Pavan is in third at 208 (-8).
