Huskers Tied for Seventh after First Round of Big 12 Championship

Trinity, Texas - The Nebraska men's golf team was tied for seventh Friday afternoon after the first round at the Big 12 Championship at Whispering Pines Golf Club. The Huskers, who were in the top three in the team race for most of the morning, finished at two-over-par 290, 10 strokes behind the leader, Texas A&M.

Andrew Wyatt and Brett Nymeyer led NU with 71s in the first round. The duo was tied for 14th before the start of the second round Friday afternoon. Brandon Crick shot 73 and was tied for 24th. Scott Willman was tied for 38th at 75, and Mike Coatman was tied for 47th at 77.
