Huskers Return Home Against Big 12 Competition
The Nebraska women's tennis team returned from its spring break trip to California and will face a pair of Big 12 teams this weekend, including a home match against Kansas State on Friday and an away match at Kansas on Sunday. The Huskers are currently in second place in the Big 12 standings with a 2-0 record, and hope to maintain its undefeated conference mark this weekend.

The Huskers split a pair of matches in California last week, both against ranked opponents. NU fell 5-2 to Long Beach State last Friday before defeating UC Irvine on Sunday to improve its overall record to 13-2. The matches also marked the final non-conference opponents on the slate for the Huskers this season, and they finished the year with an 11-2 mark against non-conference foes.

Kansas State comes into Lincoln on Friday looking for its first Big 12 win of the season. The Wildcats beat the Huskers last year in Manhattan for their only Big 12 win of the year, but the Huskers hold the all-time edge over KSU by a 29-12 margin. Nebraska then travels to Lawrence, Kan., on Sunday for a match against the Jayhawks. Kansas is also searching for its first Big 12 win of the season after dropping its first two conference decisions.

Nebraska only has one match on the schedule for next weekend, as it travels to Iowa State to take on the Cyclones on Friday, April 2. The Huskers return home the following weekend for their final two home matches of the year, against Texas Tech and Baylor.

Nebraska dropped a spot from last week's rankings, where it was No. 42, its highest ranking of the season. The Huskers have been in the ITA top 75 all season and have several big tests coming up in the Big 12 conference season, including against current No. 7 Baylor on April 11.
