Huskers in 10th at 2010 Desert Shootout

Goodyear, Ariz. - After two rounds of play, the Nebraska men's golf team is in 10th place at the 2010 Desert Shootout at Palm Valley Golf Club on Friday. The Huskers totaled a 287 in the second round and are at one-under-par 575 for the tournament, but sit 17 strokes behind the leader, Eastern Michigan.

Andrew Wyatt leads the Big Red in a tie for 12th place. Wyatt recorded a two-under-par 70 in the second round and is at three-under 141 for the tournament. Brett Nymeyer is tied for 19th at 142, while Brandon Crick is tied for 37th at 144. Scott Willman is at 149 (T68th) and Mike Coatman is tied for 76th at 150.

Neil Dufford, competing as an individual, scored a team-best 69 on Friday and and is tied for 19th at 142.

The final round begins Saturday at 8 a.m. (Central time).
