Huskers Ranked 12th in National Poll

Lincoln - The Nebraska women's gymnastics team moved to 12th-place in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday after defeating Iowa State 196.45-196.125 last Sunday. The poll, which is calculated by regional qualifying score, also ranks NU third in the South Central region and second in the Big 12 Conference. In addition, the Huskers are sixth nationally in team vault scoring (49.26), 19th on bars (48.96), 14th on beam (48.93) and tied for ninth on floor (49.18).

Individually, junior Erin Davis is fourth in the vault rankings (9.93). Sophomore Lora Evenstad comes in tied at 12th on floor (9.90). Senior Kathryn Howard is tied for 20th on beam (9.85), and junior Maria Scaffidi is tied at 24th on floor (9.875).

The Huskers head to State College, Pa. to close out the regular season with No. 15 Penn State on Saturday, March 20. Competition is set to being at 6 p.m. (CST).
