Huskers Open Big 12 Play
The Nebraska women's tennis team is looking to rebound from its first loss of the season as it begins Big 12 Conference play this weekend, hosting home matches against Colorado and Missouri. The Huskers are currently 10-1 on the year, and are looking to get off to a good start in conference play. NU finished fourth in the conference last year wtih a 7-4 record, its second-best finish in the history of the Big 12.
The Huskers should be well rested after having last weekend off from competition. They finished their non-conference home slate on Feb. 28 with a loss to Tulsa, their first loss of the season after starting the year 10-0 for the third consecutive season. NU has two more non-conference matches left this year as it travels to California next week to face off against Long Beach State and UC Irvine in its first away matches of the season. The matches this weekend will be the final of Nebraska's 13-match homestand to start the season.
