Huskers Keep 10th-Place Ranking

Lincoln - The Nebraska women's gymnastics team maintained its 10th-place national ranking in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday after posting a season-best 196.475 at the IGI Chicago Style Invite with Illinois, Denver and Iowa last the weekend. The poll, which is calculated by average team score, also ranks NU third in the South Central region and second in the Big 12 Conference. In addition, the Huskers are seventh nationally in team vault scoring (49.104), 14th on bars (48.829), 10th on beam (48.733) and tied for sixth on floor (49.054).

Individually, junior Erin Davis is tied for third in the vault rankings (9.892). Sophomore Lora Evenstad comes in at 14th on floor (9.867). Senior Kathryn Howard is tied for 15th on beam (9.825), and junior Maria Scaffidi is tied at 17th on floor (9.858).

The Huskers meet N.C. State and North Carolina at the Sweetheart Invite on Friday, Feb.20 in Raleigh, N.C. Competition is set to being at 6 p.m.
