Huskers Fall to Horned Frogs

The Nebraska rifle team dropped its fourth straight match at the hands of the TCU Horned Frogs Saturday at the NU Rifle Range, 4,637-4,619.

NU (6-5) outshot the Horned Frogs in air rifle, 2,337-2,335, thanks in part to Amanda Jeffries' individual air rifle title with a 588. Joyce Kim added a 587 for the Big Red.

However, TCU made up the ground and then some in smallbore, as the Horned Frogs outdid NU 2,302-2,282. Christine Costello led the Huskers with a 575 and Jeffries contributed a 573. Jeffries led NU overall with a 1,161.

The Huskers host Kentucky Saturday, Jan. 30 in the last regular season match of the season and the last home match of the year.
