Lawrence, Kan. - The Nebraska men's golf team finished in sixth place at the Kansas Invitational at Alvamar Golf Course on Tuesday. The Huskers shot a final round 295 to finish nine strokes behind the team champion, Oklahoma.
Mike Coatman tied for 10th place with a five-over-par 221. The finish marks Coatman's fourth career top-10 tournament finish and second of the season. Andrew Wyatt also tied for 10th, giving him his second straight top-10 finish to open the season as well.
Brandon Crick tied for 22nd with a score of 225. Brett Nymeyer scored the lowest final round for NU, a 72, and finished in a tie for 35th place at 230. Scott Willman tied for 54th with a 235.
Tyler Parsloe, playing as an individual, showed well with a tie-for-27th finish. Neil Dufford, also an individual, tied for 49th at 233.
Kansas' Nate Barbee won the individual title with a five-under-par 211.
Nebraska is back in action Oct. 5-6 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, Calif.
