Two Former Huskers Earn Degrees

Two former Nebraska rifle competitors participated in the graduation ceremony at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Saturday. Kim Chrostowski and Katie Harrington were among the 39 Husker student-athletes who graduated.

Chrostowski, who earned a history degree, was a third-team NRA All-American in air rifle after her freshman season. Chrostowski capped her stellar Husker career with a 567.64 smallbore average and a 575 air rifle average in her senior season. In addition to her success in the range, Chrostowski was a stand-out in the classroom, as she earned nine total appearances on the Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll list. She competed in her last season with the Huskers in 2007-08.

Harrington, an elementary education major, also garnered nine spots on the Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, including one with a 4.0 GPA in the spring semester of her junior year. She finished with a 564.43 smallbore average and a 575.57 air rifle average in her senior season. Harrington and Chrostowski helped the Huskers earn an NCAA Championships appearance each year of their careers.
