Sundberg Receives Life Skills Hero Award

Nebraska sophomore golfer Brett Sundberg was honored Sunday as one of 30 student-athletes to receive a Life Skills Hero award for demonstrating outstanding leadership and citizenship and becoming a role model in the process.

In addition, five members of the Husker men's golf team were recognized at the 2009 Student-Athlete Recognition Banquet.

Sundberg, a business administration major, led the way with high honors, while Chris Bruening, Tyler Parsloe, Trent Price and Andrew Wyatt all garnered honors.

Sixty-seven Huskers earned gold medallions for highest academic honors (3.75-4.0 grade-point average). There were 50 silver medallions for high honors (3.5-.3749 GPA) and 124 bronze medallions for honors (3.0-3.499 GPA).
