Game 21: Nebraska (13-6-1, 0-1)  vs. #11 Oklahoma State (14-6, 0-1)   

The Huskers make their bid for a third straight win this afternoon as they take on No. 11 Oklahoma State. First pitch from Hawks Field is set for 2 p.m. and the game will be carried on the IMG Husker Sports Network

Sophomore pitcher Matt Freeman works the top of the ninth inning.  After sitting the first two down in order, Freeman issued a walk before striking out the Cowboy's last batter to secure the Husker 12-4 victory.

4:50 p.m.

The Huskers score five runs and extend their lead to 12-4 thanks to Cody Neer's three-run blast to right field.  The eigth inning marks the eigth time NU has scored five runs in one innning in the last nine home games.

Nebraska pitchers work out of a two-on, no-out jam in the eighth, as the Huskers turn their third double play of the day. NU leads 7-4 heading into the bottom of the eighth

4:30 p.m.
The Huskers are retired in order in the seventh and Kash Kalkowski is on to open the eighth for NU

4:15 p.m.
The Huskers threaten with two runners on, but fail to push across a run. NU leads 7-4 heading into the seventh

3:59 p.m.
Roualdes puts the Cowboys down in order in the sixth with NU leading 7-4

3:54 p.m.
The Huskers go down in order in the bottom of the fifth and lead 7-4 after five complete

3:49 p.m.
The Huskers get another double play ball to get out of the fifth. NU leads 7-4 heading into the bottom of the fifth

3:43 p.m.
Nebraska is the beneficiary of bases-loaded balk, plating a run to make it 7-4 after four frames

3:29 p.m.
Oklahoma State pulls closer, getting a sacrifice fly from Michael Dabbs to pull within 6-4 heading into the bottom of the fourth

3:23 p.m.
The Huskers knock out Lyons in the third, but can't push across some more runs. NU leads 6-3 after three innings

3:10 p.m.
Oklahoma State comes right back, putting up three runs in the top of the third with Neil Medchill's two-run double providing the big blow. NU leads 6-3 after two and a half innings

2:54 p.m.
The Huskers double up on Oklahoma State, adding three more runs in the bottom of the second, highlighted by a two-run double from Adam Bailey and a run-scoring single from Tezak. NU leads 6-0 after two innings of work

2:38 p.m.
The Husker defense shines again, getting Roualdes out of the second without allowing a run. With two on and no outs, the Huskers executed a 4-6-3 GDP before Tezak races down a flare off the bat of Tyrone Hambly to end the frame. NU leads 3-0 after one and a half innings

2:27 p.m.
The Huskers strike for three runs in the bottom of the first, as they sent nine men to the plate. RBI singles from Tyler Farst and Jeff Tezak and a Cody Neer double give the Huskers a 3-0 lead after one inning

2:09 p.m.
Roualdes puts the Cowboys down in order, thanks to an outstanding play from Jeff Tezak, who robbed Matt Ginther of a single by going behind second and throwing a strike to first to nip the speedy leadoff hitter.

70 degrees; Sunny and a perfect day at the ballpark. We are underway

Lineups for today's game is now posted. The Huskers' lineup is the same as Friday's lineup, as Ben Kline will likely miss his second straight game because of a sore shoulder.
