Huskers Wrap Up Fall with Victory over Racers

The Nebraska rifle team concluded its fall schedule with a 4,602-4,541 victory over the Murray State Racers Sunday in Murray, Kent. The Huskers outshot the Racers in both disciplines, 2,285-2,239 in smallbore and 2,317-2,302 in air rifle.

Ryann McGough paced Nebraska in smallbore, capturing the individual title with a 580. The score was also a personal best for McGough, who topped her previous best of 579, set two weeks ago against Alaska-Fairbanks. Amanda Jeffries led the way in air rifle, scoring a 583. Christine Costello added a 581 in air rifle for the third-straight match.  

The Huskers improved to 3-3 with the win. Nebraska returns to action Jan. 16 at West Virginia.
