Evenstad Claims Junior Olympic All-Around Title

Kissimmee, Fla. ? Nebraska recruit Lora Evenstad competed at the Junior Olympic National Championships, May 16-18, capturing the all-around title with a score of 38.35. Evenstad is a Level 10 gymnast from Red River Valley Gymnastics in Grand Forks, N.D.

 

In addition to winning her first all-around crown, Evenstad placed third on vault (9.675) and floor (9.55) and tied for eighth on bars (9.625) and beam (9.50).

 

Fellow Husker recruit Kassandra Nathe tied for 13th on floor (9.425) and 15th in the all-around (37.475), while also taking 19th on beam (9.325). A Level 10 product of Granite City Gymnastics, Nathe is a native of Sartell, Minn.
