The Nebraska men's tennis team travels to Tulsa, Okla., this week to participate in the ITA Central Regional Tournament. The Huskers will send seven players to the singles tournament and three pairs to the doubles tournament.
Freshmen Taylor Boney and Jamie Holmes will see their first Division I experience this week, as both will be apart of the singles tournament. Sophomores David Bendheim and Francois Van Impe, juniors Renato Melo and Hendrik Stahmer and senior Mark Tate will join the freshmen in singles.
The Huskers will also have three doubles teams in action this week. The teams include Boney/Tate, Bendheim/Melo and Stahmer/Van Impe.
Qualifying play for singles will begin on Wednesday, however, the Huskers have no players in qualifying, as all of them have pre-qualified for the Main Draw. The Main Draw begins Thursday, along with the doubles tournament.
