Manhattan, Kan. - The Nebraska women's golf team had its final round of competition canceled by rain at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational at the Colbert Hills Golf Course on Tuesday.
The tournament, which was scheduled for 54 holes, completed the first two rounds on Monday with the Huskers ending in sixth place at 613. Nebraska seniors Elli Brown and Allison Stewart finished the tournament in a tie for 11th place individually at 150. Missouri's Julia Potter won the individual title with a one-under-par 143.
Kansas captured the team title with a two-round total of 600, two strokes ahead of Missouri's 602.
The Huskers return to action next Monday and Tuesday when they travel to the Bronco Fall Invitational. Nebraska will try to defend its 2006 team title at the event, while sophomore Kate White will attempt to defend last year's individual title against a talented tournament field.
