Huskers Finish 16th at Palisades Classic

Charlotte, N.C. ? Senior Brady Schnell led the Nebraska men's golf team for the fifth spring tournamen as the Huskers to a 16th-place spot in a field of 18 at the Palisades Collegiate Golf Classic at the par-72, 6,797 yard Palisades Golf Course in Charlotte, N.C.

The Huskers finished with a total score of 901 (304-293-304). Schnell fired a four-under par 212 (71-69-72), leaving the Omaha native in a tie for 10th individually. Schnell additionally tied for fourth in the tournament individually in par-three scoring, finishing at one-under par, as well as fifth in par-five scoring, finishing at five-under par. Schnell aslo snagged 17 birdies, tying him for second in the tournament.

Freshman Jamie Marshall was next for the Huskers, finishing with a total of 220 (74-72-74) to stand in a tie for 37th individually. Marshall was additionally tied for fourth individually in the tournament in par-three scoring, finishing at one-under par, while also tying for second in the tournament in pars with 38.

Senior Ty Capps was third for the Huskers, finishing with a total of 233 (76-80-77), placing him in a tie for 83rd individually. Senior Ryan Lenahan was next for the Huskers with a 237 (84-72-81), placing him in a tie for 89th individually.

Senior Drew Reynolds rounded out the squad with a 256 (83-84-89), leaving him in 98th place individually.

Charlotte won the tournament with a total score of 849 (280-283-286).

The Huskers will have a two-week break before traveling to Hutchinson, Kan. for the Big 12 Championships on April 23-24.
